Precious gems have been regarded as the ultimate status symbol, and in the 1960s, turned Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly into Hollywood Royalty and Americans heiresses, Mona Bismarck, Doris Duke, and Millicent Rogers into international renowned icons.
